Dick Mazess Ph.D.,

Richard Mazess is an Emeritus Professor of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He developed the common methods for non-invasive measurement of bone and body composition, which are widely used to assess growth, aging, environmental factors, disease, and its treatment. He has served on FDA committees evaluating treatments for skeletal disorders in both children and adults. He started and directed a publicly traded company, Lunar Corporation, for 15 years, which manufactured and distributed such equipment internationally. After 15 years, it was acquired by General Electric.  Mazess met Eddie Tuduri shortly after retiring to Santa Barbara in 2004 and became involved as both an advisor and enthusiastic supporter for the TRAP program.
